BESPOKE METAL TABLES

After having a brief of "Can I have a dining table, please..." This is what I came up with. It was inspired by one I had made for a previous job. After a few alterations this was the finished product. The top was made from leftover engineered oak floor boards from the kitchen/dining area (it could be whatever finish you desire) and this was wrapped in brushed steel. The rest of the table frame was simply made from welding 30mmX30mm box section metal together. The welds were ground down and the whole frame brush finished with an angle grinder, then coated in a clear lacquer.

After have made this large dining table the customer commissioned a baby brother to be made, but as a moveable bar/serving trolley. The design was kept the same except for the addition of two towel rails, and a slight re-jig in the dimensions and lockable rubber castors. These pictures demonstrate the stages of the construction up to the finished product.
