DALGARNO GARDENS BASEMENT

Opening Up The Space. As we were clearing out the basement we discovered a large open space under the house; an opportunity not to be missed. We cleared out the rubble and knocked down the walls to reveal a huge area to develop.

Taking Out The Floor. We needed to do this to gain access for excavation.

Digging Out. We used a micro digger to dig out the majority of the floor and pins, but some had to be done by hand. We used the conveyor belt to get rid of the dirt into a skip out front.

Underpinning. We made formers out of ply using the DYWIDAG Systems, which were then supported with Acrow props. This is the finished product.

Steel Work. Finally we installed two new steels to reinstate the floor.

Finishing Stages. After we had the basement structurally tanked, we used reclaimed tongue and grooved panelling from an old factory up North to clad the the walls and create the steps.
