DALGARNO GARDENS GARAGE

The fun part was the demolition. Chainsawing out the old roof joists and knocking walls down with a digger.

Having knocked it down to the ground,  we ran ducting for power and water. Next we poured a new concrete raft which gave us the new fresh start we needed to construct the new garage.

Using the original London Stock bricks from the house we were able to achieve a seamless transition from the old to the new.  A custom electric roller shutter was fitted to give easy access.

The inside was fitted out with a work bench and plenty of storage for tools and parts for tinkering on the cars. Continuing the client's industrial theme, all the electrics have been run in metal conduit and painted in black gloss.

The front of the garage was cladded in feather edge boarding, accompanied with a veranda and picket style fence, to give the feeling of an American New England house. The roof was hand crafted out of zinc to give a durable yet easy on the eye finish. Three sky lights were also incorporated in the construction of the roof allowing the room to be filled with natural light.
