DALGARNO GARDENS

INDUSTRIAL FIXTURES & FITTINGS

During the Dalgarno Gardens build the design was very much the client's ideas and vision. With a bit of creative consultation we managed to bring these ideas to life. The theme was to have homely feel with an industrial edge.

In the side extension to the kitchen, using leftover conduit I was able to create a unique path to two old industrial lights.  The conduit was finished in black gloss allowing it to stand out as a one off lighting feature. This created a focal point to the room and ambience in the evening with the control of the dimmer switch.

In the basement we extensively used metal conduit. This was bent in every which way to create custom routes for feeding power to lights and sockets. In the basement section the photos show the layout and fine lighting touches - old industrial lamps hanging from the ceiling and a fixed workbench lamp for the more precision jobs. This detail was continued throughout, including the period light switches.

In the kitchen a matching pair of lamps were used to create another focal point of the room - the kitchen island. They help highlight this area and give individual light when sitting at the island come breakfast bar.
